9 – INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Hot Shots is a unique leisure venture introducing golf to a younger and family oriented
market, whilst also catering for seasoned golfers, and goes way beyond the common
perceptions of traditional golf clubs and driving ranges.
• The Intellectual Property of Hot Shots belongs solely to HG&L – this is NOT a franchise
but a business which is scalable for other locations.
• Hot Shots combines golf, a game in desperate need of modernisation, with digital
technology and high quality hospitality to be enjoyed to the full by beginners and
professionals, young and old, families and corporate groups alike.
• Hot Shots only current UK competitor is TopGolf who operate three facilities. TopGolf
draws in over 950k visitors a year. The planned 236,000 visitors a year for the Centre
is therefore eminently achievable given the highly accessible location to Newcastle
and the North East as well as just 2 miles from the Tyne Tunnels for visitors from
further afield as well as the Wallsend Golf Club rounds.
• Hot Shots will be managed by an experienced management team with strong golf,
development, hospitality and financial expertise, complimented by high profile
sporting ambassadors.
• Hot Shots includes comprehensive hospitality facilities with three function rooms
which will be open to golfers and non-golfing visitors enhancing the F&B revenue
which is expected to exceed bay revenue.
• Hot Shots Sports Bar will feature big screen entertainment showing FA Cup, 6 Nations,
Test matches and other major sports events creating further revenue from fans.
• Hot Shots will deliver community benefit, endorsed by the PGA and promote Sport
England’s vision for sport.
• Hot Shots will provide a Golf Academy run by PGA qualified professionals, who will
encourage learning, develop young talent and perfect skills.
• Hot Shots will include a golf Superstore providing a wide range of clubs, apparel and
shoes combined with a sophisticated club fitting service in an area which offers no
competition.
• Hot Shots provides an alternative for local authorities and golf clubs looking for a
solution to falling revenues with the addition of significant community benefit.
