The example above provides a simple representation of an IIIF Presenta-
tion object. This object defines an issue of a newspaper. While not nearly as
verbose as METS, the IIIF Presentation API provides information related
to the structure, images, and metadata of a particular set of objects. While
this is also true of METS, again, data represented in the IIIF format becomes
immediately actionable, since any tool that can utilize JSON can make use
