was a miracle! The communist army had returned the Mother House to us! That
evening, they all moved out... Once they were out of the door, the sisters quickly
joined together in procession to carry back home to Phu Xuan our statue of Mary
Immaculate Mother. How could one describe a procession flooded with tears of
joy when Mother Immaculate and her Daughters walked through the threshold of
the side-door, through numerous mounts of decayed from falling down pieces of
ruins here and there to come back home to Phu-Xuan, land of the Mother House!
Mother and Daughters entered the quiet and empty Chapel. The Communist
army had transformed the chapel into a theater for the army to enjoy performing
arts ... What a painful, sorrowful, and heart-broken site to see!
Hearing the good news our Mother House was returned to the Congregation,
people came to share our joy but at the same time, they witnessed countless
ruins all over the place. Fortunately, friends, scouts and catholics from different
parishes volunteered to come and help with cleaning up ... especially getting
rid off the mud accumulated from many floodings over the years covering the
back yard. After about three months of cleaning, the site shaped up and looked
                      better...

On one hand, through the intermediary of Bishop Stephano Nguyen Nhu The,
the Congregation obtained a good benefactor from Italy -Campana Cristofore -
who provided the Congrgation with funds to repair severe damages done to the
Chapel. On the other hand, the General Superior worked hard to find benefactors
from the country and abroad. Thanks to systmaticaly adequate repairs, the
Congregation shaped up, recovering its looks, clean and orderly as you can see
                      nowadays.

                      Charity Clinic in Kim Long

The Sisters desired arduously to help people living in poverty, sufferring from
diseases and pains while the Congregation has medical doctors and nurses
who could help them live better. That was the main purpose that urged the
Congregation to build a free clinic on Kim Long street on 11/11/1992. In the
beginning, Kim Long Clinic encountered some difficulties since medecins and
workers were limited while countless people came for help.

Over time, Kim Long Charity Clinic has expanded in many areas: sufficient
medecins, and medical equipments installed. Over the past 26 years, Kim Long
Charity Clinic keeps open and welcomes all patients, near and far, on Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday on a weekly basis. And, on weekends, a Mobile – a
Mercedes Van – reached patients in the suburban areas and counties near Hue.
People and benefactors in the country or abroad respect and trust Kim Long
Charity Clinic for its service. One of the most outstanding charateristics regarding
the services reserved to HIV patients, is the cooperation not only of different
Congregations and catholic volunteers, but also of Buddhist volunteers - nuns
and priest - . “This is an unique model, working with people of other religions but
