Helpful Hints
• If you participate in life insurance, you need to name a beneficiary who
will receive the benefit in the event of your death. You can review or
change your beneficiary at any time in MyWorkday under the Benefit
worklet. Payment of your life insurance benefit can be delayed if you ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
don’t have a beneficiary on file.
• If you have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less,
you may be able to receive up to 80% of your life insurance benefit (up to
$500,000) before you die.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) provides a benefit if you die
or suffer certain types of injuries as a result of an accident. The amount of
benefit paid is based on the severity of the accidental loss.
Employee AD&D
EFH provides you with basic employee AD&D coverage equal to one times
your annual base pay. You can choose optional employee AD&D coverage
of up to six times your annual base pay, rounded to the nearest $1,000.
Dependent AD&D
You can enroll your eligible family members for dependent AD&D coverage.
If you elect family coverage, the benefit payable is based on your family
members at the time of the loss. More details are available in the Benefits
Handbook under the MyHR tab on Connect, click on HRServices.
If you have a spouse Your spouse’s coverage is equal to 60% of your optional family
only (no children) AD&D coverage amount.
If you have children Each child’s coverage is equal to 15% of your optional family
only (no spouse) AD&D coverage amount.
Your spouse’s coverage is equal to 50% of your optional family
If you have a spouse AD&D coverage amount.
and children Each child’s coverage is equal to 10% of your optional family
AD&D coverage amount.
