Offshore boost
The Newfoundland and Labrador oil regulator has licensed Equinor’s
Cappahayden K-67 discovery, which is thought to be significant.
Revised outlook
The US Energy Information Administration has revised its forecast for the
country’s oil production in 2024 down slightly.
Doubled profit
ConocoPhillips had its profits double in 2022 to reach $18.7bn, its highest
earnings in a decade, as crude prices rose.
Freeport restart
Freeport LNG said on February 3 that it had restarted the liquefaction
process of Train 3 at its Texas-based LNG export plant of the same name.
