     He said, “You’re whole premise is based on John F.
                Kennedy’s words: ‘Ask not what your country can do for
                you, but what you can do for your country.’
                “Those words died with him, and you’re trying to
                resurrect them. You’ve got to tell people how to get
                ahead in life, and make money if you’re going to
                sell many books today.”
                I see this as a sad state of reality. There are a lot of
                funny things that can be said about Americans and
                money. One is: “It’s true that money can’t buy you
                true love. It does, however, put you in a much better
                bargaining position.”
                A favorite of mine is: “Money won’t buy happiness,
                but it is a good way to keep the kids in touch.”
