        Welcome to Bonnyton House



        Moving home is a stressful event in anyone’s life. This may well be the first time that you have lived in a
        communal setting. Please feel free to ask us about your care, the routine of the home or anything else that
        concerns you.



        Bonnyton House is a registered care home providing accommodation for 14 residents. We also provide day care
        for up to 2 people.


        Fees:  You will be advised by your Care Manager of the amount you will have to contribute towards the fees for
        your care in the Care Home after financial assessment has been completed. The Care Home will not accept self-
        funding residents under the National Contract Route 3, however if residents become eligible for full public
        funding, they may transfer to the National Contract Route 3. It is always advisable to seek the help of a Care
        Manager before admission to the Care home.



        Hairdressing:  A hairdresser visits the Home every week. You may of course continue using your regular
        hairdresser but if you wish to use the services of our visiting hairdresser please advise a member of staff who will
        then let your request be known to the hairdresser. The hairdresser will advise you of the charges.



        Chiropody:  Chiropody services are provided to those who are assessed as requiring this service from the NHS.
        You may employ your own private chiropodist who may visit the Home or arrange an appointment at his
        premises. If you are assessed not to require a chiropodist the staff will offer the help you require.



        Newspapers:  The Home can arrange for newspapers of your choice to be delivered daily from the local
        newsagent. The newsagent will send an account to you for payment.


        Toiletries:  The home will provide you with some toiletries, soap, sponge, flannels etc. you may have to provide
        other personal items yourself. The Care Home has a delivery daily from the local pharmacy that carries a large
        stock of all toiletries. You can advise staff of the items you require and they will be sent up to the Home. You
        will have to pay for them when they arrive.


        Shopping:  You may visit the local shops yourself if you are able or a member of staff may take you at a suitable
        time. We visit the local supermarket every morning and staff will be happy to collect any items you wish.
