Dr. Handjaja Rono Sulistyo,

Dr. Handjaja Rono Sulistyo Hanny (widely known as Dr. Hanny Rono) is a
distinguished Indonesian obstetrician-gynecologist, healthcare leader, and

international quality expert. He holds a PhD in Medicine and a Master’s in
Hospital Management and is a certified consultant in Social Obstetrics and
Gynecology. Dr. Hanny is a Fellow of the International Society for Quality in

Health Care (FISQua) and serves as a Board Member of Bisque (2022–2025),
the Asian Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua), the International

Hospital Federation (IHF), and the Asian Hospital Federation.
Currently, he leads the International and Interagency Relations Division of
KARS (Komisi Akreditasi Rumah Sakit / Hospital Accreditation Commission

of Indonesia). He serves as Head of Foreign Relations and Inter-Institutional
Affairs for PERSI (Perhimpunan Rumah Sakit Seluruh Indonesia / Indonesian

Hospital Association). Dr. Hanny has presented extensively at international
forums, including delivering a plenary session at the 45th IHF World
Hospital Congress held in Dubai from November 8–11, 2022.

He is also a prolific writer, having authored over 30 small, popular pocket-
sized books on topics such as reproductive health, medical ethics, hospital

leadership, and Islamic perspectives in healthcare. A former hospital
director and the former Head of West Java’s Provincial Health Office, Dr.
Hanny, continues to champion quality improvement, ethical leadership, and

global collaboration in healthcare systems.
