      Dr. Chien-Tzung Chen commenced his medical education at Kaohsiung Medical
      University in 1980 and completed his general surgery and plastic surgery
      residency at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) in Linkou. From 1997 to
      1998, he pursued a clinical and research fellowship in plastic surgery at the

      University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, USA. In 1999, his
      paper, Endoscope-Assisted Repair of Orbital Medial Wall Fracture, published in
      Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS), was the first to be featured as a CME
      article that year. Dr. Chen was appointed Chairman of the Division of Trauma

      Plastic Surgery at CGMH Linkou in 2007. He later served as Deputy
      Superintendent of CGMH Keelung (2012-2016) and Superintendent of CGMH
      Keelung (2016-2020). Concurrently, he held the position of Executive Deputy
      Superintendent at CGMH Linkou from 2020 to 2022. Since July 2022, he has been

      serving as the Superintendent of CGMH Linkou. Dr. Chen has authored over 130
      peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He has served or continues to
      serve on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, including the Journal
      of Taiwan Society of Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal,

      Asian Journal of Surgery, and International Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Trauma.
      A dedicated educator, Dr. Chen has played a key role in numerous local and
      international AO teaching courses, serving as both faculty and chairman. Since
      2002, he has been the Taiwan representative to the AO Asia Pacific Cranio-

      Maxillofacial Workgroup and an esteemed member of its educational board.
      Additionally, he served as Secretary General of the Taiwan Society of Plastic
      Surgery (2006-2008) and has been the President of the Taiwan Cleft Palate-
      Craniofacial Association since 2013. In 2016, he was elected as President of the

      Taiwan Society of Plastic Surgery, followed by his appointment as Chairman of
      the 6th World Association for Plastic Surgery of Chinese Descent in 2018.
