Shortly into our voyage I am beset by an extreme tooth malady no doubt caused by my
affinity for sweet fruits. We land on an uncharted volcanic island between Tonga &
the Galapagos.
I enlist the help of a tame fairy named 'Acmella' whom I have brought on our voyage for
luck to help me find a cure.
After two days of extreme pain, the fairy returns. Poor Acmella was however no longer
her natural golden hue but white all over.
The fairy explains that she was hit by lightning while collecting a local flower rumoured
to have magical healing properties. I chew on the strange little flowers that are still
laced with residual charge from the lightning and I am healed immediately!
I have decided out of sincere gratitude to name the little yellow flower after the first
'tooth fairy' Acmella Oleracea.
The flower is still known, among other things, as the toothache plant.
