Thank You

Thank you! I accept the honor of the HaKaras Ha Tov award
from my family of friends at Nusach Hari. Sharing this honor
with the other honorees, Bob and Joni Kaiser, Guests of
Honor and Rick and Marcy Cornfeld, Israel Advocacy
awardees is both inspiring and humbling.

Being a member at Nusach Hari and getting to know Rabbi
and Chani Smason has added immense value to my life.
My parents Stanley and Bunny Farbstein, Z” instilled in me a
love of learning. Coming from a reform/cultural Jewish
background I continued that tradition in my own home. It
wasn’t until I came to Nusach Hari that I truly discovered the
wisdom of our Torah and the names of the higher power I
knew I believed in.

I became a Zionist during my years of learning as a member
of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
Nusach Hari is a leader in our community in its unwavering
support of Israel. Our strength of conviction is so necessary
in our world today.

I am sure the warmth and enthusiasm all the members here
exude is what inspires so many to volunteer, each in their
own way. Many thanks to the Dinner Committee who year
after year make the award dinner so special.

Congratulations to the Kaisers and Cornfelds. Thank you to
my husband, Bob, my sons, and my brother Moritz for their
continual support, love and kindness. I know the value of
having a multitude in my corner. Thank you to my
Sisterhood board members and all our members. May we
go from strength to strength.
