Award Recipients

If it’s true that people make time for what’s important to
them, then Marcy and Rick Cornfeld have clearly shown
their priorities: to support Israel and to enhance the
relationship between Israel and the United States. It is for
their consistent devotion that NHBZ presents the 2019 Israel
Advocacy Award to the Cornfelds.

As co-chairs of the AIPAC St. Louis Council and members
of the AIPAC National Council, Marcy and Rick travel to
Washington, D.C., three to four times a year for briefings
followed by lobbying meetings with elected officials on
Capitol Hill. Marcy and Rick were also the lay Co-chairs of
the 2017 St. Louis Jewish Federation mission to
Israel. Marcy serves as Co-chair of Focus Israel UH, United
Hebrew Congregation’s Israel Committee; and is a member
of Friends of Israel.

In 2017, Marcy and Rick were presented with the Israel
Engagement Award by the St. Louis Jewish Student Union,
for which they established an endowment fund to provide
scholarship dollars for teens to participate in the annual
AIPAC national conference.

In her “spare time,” Marcy is also a life member of NA’AMAT
and a member of NCJW; a former board member of the
Jewish Light, CAJE, Crown Center, and Saul Mirowitz
Reform Jewish Academy. She also served for many years
on the Jewish Federation’s Israel Allocations Subcommittee.
