She is a volunteer archivist at The Muny. Professionally,
she was an English teacher at University City High School
and a freelance writer for various publications, including the
Post-Dispatch, the Jewish Light, and Glamour Magazine.
Rick’s involvement at United Hebrew includes having served
as Congregational President as well as many other
positions. He is currently a member of the Executive
Committee. Professionally, he has practiced law in St. Louis
for nearly 40 years, currently with his firm, The Law Office of
Richard S. Cornfeld, LLC. Rick has been named among the
Best Lawyers in America (Mass Tort/Class Actions –
Plaintiffs) and National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Civil
Plaintiff. He is a member of the American Bar Association,
Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, American
Association for Justice, Public Justice, and National
Association of Consumer Advocates. His proudest
professional accomplishment was the favorable settlement
of the class action against the former St. Louis Rams on
behalf of owners of Personal Seat Licenses.
Marcy and Rick are proud native St. Louisans. Rick, son of
Dave and the late Martha Cornfeld, grew up in University
City with his brothers Jim (Jann) and Yosef (Ellen) of
Israel. Marcy was born in University City to Dr. Marlin and
Goldie Jackoway. Her sister is Judith (Michael) Newmark,
the retired theater critic of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The
Cornfelds have two daughters, Dr. Li Cornfeld and Sari
(Daniel) Levy. Sari is the director of the religious school at
Temple Israel.
