How Satan Operates

Separation from the World – View of this World

We live in a world that opposes God. This should be no surprise to us, for the Bible states that Satan is
the god of this world’s system. And he seeks to blind men from his tactics in order to keep men from
worshipping God or even coming to know Him.

II Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep
them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according

to human tradition, according to the elemental spiritsof the world, and not according to Christ.

Satan is in control and seeks to deceive every man’s mind. He is in the business of mind control and
manipulation. He tries to get men to cast off any restrictions that would throttle their nature to sin.
Satan is a rebel and the father of all lies. And since he is in control of this world’s system, he spreads his
lies in every aspect of our societies and culture. He controls most information coming out of colleges
and universities, convincing students that there is no God and that evolution is true. He controls
Hollywood in America and produces movies that are distributed world-wide that alter our views of
morality. He has made inroads into most governments, allowing leaders to consider personal gain and
corruption as a natural component of leadership. And he has convinced Christians that the pleasures of
this world far exceed the riches found in fellowship with Christ.

So what should we do? How can we live in this corrupt world and not get personally influenced by it?
The answers to these questions are not that simple, but here are some principles that may help:
