               Knowing how to lead a group or another  person implies knowledge of
               their competency and level of commitment as they are dealt with.  This can
               be partially determined by looking at their performance and their level of

               enthusiasm and interest in doing  a task.   Clearly,  someone who is just
               learning their job cannot be led in the same way as someone who has been
               doing it successfully for a while.  The former would require a “directing”
