The grass bend, which I last spotted on an Haitian craft rotting away
         gracefully in the Bahamas, is tied by taking hitches with the ends around
         opposing standing parts—as drawn here. Under strain, it collapses from an
         aspect of wickerwork harmony to a tight knob which holds securely but

         may be hard to unravel.
