Cavite State University Naic has all started when the formerly known Cavite
School of Fisheries was created under Republic Act No. 2661. The initial operation
of the school began in June 4, 1962, under Secondary Fishery Education
Curriculum. Cavite School of Fisheries was converted to a college in 1970, offering

Fishery Technology was offered, then on June 30, 1975, DECS approved the

management, capture and postharvest fisheries.
As of today, only a draft of the new CHED CMO for BSF program is available.
Yet, the Fisheries and Marine Science Department (FMSD), who offers the BSF
program, had taken measures to revise its existing curriculum before the first
semester, AY 2018-2019 in August 2018. The revision primarily aimed to address
the changes made by the K-12 program to higher education system. Briefly, the
department had adopted the (CMO No.# s. 2017) in combination with the latest CMO
