P. 30

Bob’s greatest sports heroes proved their mettle through
unflappability. Stay within yourself, he mentated; I can handle
        anything thrown at me.
“Hutch must touch much such stuff. Hutch must touch much
such stuff. Hutch must touch much such stuff.”

Lulu too was having trouble maintaining the proper balance of
mental concentration and lingual flexibility. Why, oh why, she
lamented inwardly, did we try to cover up our innocent little mistake
and speak with forked tongue to the Great Chief? But when her turn
        came she was ready.
“Wally waddled, Waldo wallowed. Wally waddled, Waldo
        wallowed. Wally waddled, Waldo wallowed.”
