It’s like a city block
Until that door,
If there’s a lock
I’ll pee on the floor.
Just me and my bladder
Hoping we don’t slip and fall.
The Latest Disease (Leybourne-Lyle)
They fly through the air with a cough and a sneeze,
Those viruses bearing the latest disease;
To find out what kills them will take expertise
And more time than I have to spare.
Once I was healthy, but now I’m quite sick,
Drinking thin broth and my mucus is thick,
While my breath is slow, my pulse is too quick,
Betrayed by a weak flu vaccine.
The habits I followed were faultless,
I ran if I heard someone wheeze;
But I could not outrun air conditioning
That broadcast the latest disease.
They fly through the air with a cough and a sneeze,
Those viruses bearing the latest disease;
To find out what kills them will take expertise
And more time than I have to spare.
Thanks for the Imaging (Robin-Rainger)
Thanks for the imaging:
You showed me what was wrong, shadows dark and long,
Duodenum and prostate bum--or maybe much too strong;
How scary it was!
Thanks for the imaging:
Of calcium in bones, kidneys full of stones,
And bulging veins and bleeding brains and bleeding GI zones;
How costly it was!
