DAY 5: THE GOD WHO HEARS AND LISTENS

“Let my prayer be set before You as incense”
Psalm 141:2

Prayer is the most powerful weapon we can have when
dealing with any kind of sickness. When we humble
ourselves to the God who hears, He will strengthen us to
fight the battle. When we bow down to The Lord who
listens, He will sustain us during this time of difficulty.
Prayer is like a sweet-smelling aroma that rises before the
God of the Universe. It is a beautiful sound of music that
rings to the ears of the Creator of heaven and earth. Taste
and see that the Lord is good!

While cooking “bulalo” (a Filipino stew made from beef
shanks and marrow bones), I started my devotion and prayer
time. I prayed for blessings for my family, relatives, and
friends. I ask God for healing for the sick, anointing to those
who are serving God in the pulpit and salvation for those
who do not know Christ personally as their Lord and
Saviour.

After this time, I uttered, “Lord, may this prayer be set
before You like an incense.” In a concise while, I smelled
burned food – the “bulalo” soup got burned! The smoke in
the kitchen and the smell of the marrow bones filled the
house like incense!
