DAY 15: THE LORD IS MY PROTECTOR

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust”
Psalm 91:1-2

The beginning of Psalm 91 spoke of the names of God: Most
High- Elyon; Almighty- Shadday; The Lord- YHWH; and
My God- Elohay/ Elohim. He is described as our shelter,
shadow, refuge, fortress, shield, buckler, dwelling place,
deliverer, rescuer, and protector- our Salvation!
Psalm 91 gives comfort in God in facing the battle with
cancer and, most recently, the fear of coronavirus. It reminds
us of the infinite God that is fiercer than these small “c’s” of
life!

My best friend said, "I have a verse for you! Read it daily
and claim it! We need this, especially now.” I had it printed
in big letters, placed in transparent protective covering, and
posted at eye-level, above the bathroom light switch so I
may read and declare daily: Psalm 91
