I obviously work in an office. So, your day may not look anything at all
like this. What is important is that you manage your time, energy and
focus so that you get the important things done and at the same time
respond to others in a timely manner.

                              MANAGING THE ENTIRE DAY

In Jewish culture, a day is from one nightfall to the next nightfall. So,
each day begins in the evening. For example, Shabbat begins on Friday
evening and ends on Saturday evening, so it includes Friday night and
daytime Saturday. I have found that adopting the mindset that your day
starts the evening before is key to having a successful working day. The
most obvious factor that comes to mind here is sleep, as it is well known
that sleep directly impacts productivity. In fact, sufficient sleep is correctly
described as the “secret weapon” of success. But there are many other
ways that the evening and the morning hours, if well managed, can
replenish and nourish both body soul and body, and get your day
          started on the right footing.

The following is an example of how one might organize a typical
weekday morning and evening to prepare for a productive day.
