THE PROSPEROUS WAY

declare them over yourself, rehearse them in your mind, and put your
own name in as you read them.

 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
                 future .” (Jeremiah 29:11)

 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation,
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or the
sword? But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer
through Him who loved us . (Romans 8:35&37)

 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you
with an everlasting love I have drawn you with unfailing
                                          ;
                 kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them
is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many

                 sparrows. (Luke 12:6-7)

These words of affirmation are not meant to encourage a false sense of
self-confidence; a “Sunday morning” bravado that crumbles without the
smallest iota of resistance when faced with the Monday morning
realities of our personal struggles. They are simply declarations that
affirm our faith in the truth of God’s Word. Over time, as we continually
declare and accept God’s Word to be true as it applies to us, relying on
the Holy Spirit to bring the Word to life, our mind-sets will start to shift
and our lives will also begin to slowly change.

KNOWING YOUR VALUE IN THE WORLD

Matthew 13:33 records a story that Jesus told about a woman making
bread—the parable of the yeast and the dough:

“And he told them still another parable: The kingdom of heaven
is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty
pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.“
                 (Matthew 13:33)
