n this chapter, we will discuss Data Mining which
includes Data Harvesting and Data Collection. We will
Ialso learn why it is critical for you to understand data
mining and how data is trained for AI use. Its function
remains the same regardless of how it is referred to. The
goal of Data Collection is to extract relevant data from
existing or new data sources. On the other hand, data
mining is the practice of analyzing large databases in
order to generate new information.

New data is created every day all over the world. According
to a 2017 Economist article, data has surpassed oil
as the world’s most valuable commodity (Economist,
2017). International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts that
global data volume will increase from 33 zettabytes to
175 zettabytes by 2025. It is impossible to comprehend,
organize, and categorize this much data without the
proper tools. However, artificial intelligence (AI) and
