SESSION 10 : Song of Songs Chapter 4:7-11

increased spiritual maturity have overwhelmed Him. He tells her that

her love is His finest wine.

It is astounding to think that in Chapter 1, we hear the Shulamite

declaring that His kisses are better than wine, and now, the One who
has poured His precious love into her is tasting the fruit of His own

labour within her heart—and complimenting her! It is described as the

finest of wine, because of all the fruit made available to us by the Holy

failings of late, He began to pour this love down from heaven. Dearest
reader, His love completely broke me, and I can assure you from my

own personal experience that it is REAL and available to all who ask

          for it.

I want to confirm this point even further by sharing with you what I

read in a very old commentary on Chapter 4 by George Burrowes:

“The soul, thus conveyed to the bosom of Jesus, is oppressed with a

deepening sense of unworthiness, and finds difficulty in believing there
