SESSION 12 : Song of Songs Chapter 5:2-8 (TPT)
The Lord is looking for those who will allow Him to use them for the
destruction of the spirit of religion in the Church, so that His people can
be set free to praise and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Great darkness is covering the earth, and hopelessness, depression,
gloom, and doom fill the hearts of many poor souls. God, however, has
the antidote to all of this—and it is the celebration of who He is. The
world needs to see rejoicing, positive, and hopeful people who are
living a totally different narrative from society at large.
And Church, we are supposed to be those people.
I feel the Holy Spirit asking the question: Are we prepared to take the
risk of being ridiculed, mocked, misunderstood, and rejected so that
Jesus has the way prepared for His return?
When I received this download into my spirit, I was reminded of a
character in the Bible to whom we have just made reference—and by
that, I mean David. One of the most defining moments in David’s life
was when the ark of the covenant (which symbolises God’s presence)
was being transported back into Jerusalem.
In 2 Samuel 6:14, it says David danced before the Lord with all his
might, wearing a linen ephod. In verse 16, however, we discover that
his wife, who was observing this delightful display of joyful freedom
in worship, was not happy. In contrast to the people who were caught
up in celebrating the Lord with their king, David’s wife despised him
