POINTS FOR DISCUSSION AND REFLECTION
❖ How has the name of Jesus been experienced as ‘ointment’ in
your life experiences?
❖ The scriptures tell us in several places that we are called to
suffer (Philippians 3:10, Romans 5:3-4, 2 Timothy 3:12, 1 Peter
4:12-19). How does that make you feel?
❖ If you are completely honest with yourself, would you be like
the Shulamite who says: ‘Draw me away’, or the daughters who
say: ’We will run after you’? Discuss
❖ In the King’s chamber, she discovers she is dark but still lovely.
Is this how you see yourself? If not, can you explain why?
❖ Why do you think we in the Western church find it so difficult
to be still? What strategies can we implement to achieve
stillness in our lives?
