Recommendations:

1. The Committee is asking the Board to make a decision on whether access to the NICTA platform
should be granted to all IAATI members, or only to those that enrol in the IAATI Certification
Program. The advantages and disadvantages are presented below.

General Update:

At the last board meeting, the Education, Training and Certification Committee shared the updated study
guide and test to the board. After the board meeting, I heard from several board members who felt the
certification test was not up to standard and requested additional time to review and quite possibly re-
write the test. As of July 3, 2020, 2 IAATI members are reviewing the test and quite possibly writing new
test questions. I have spoken to both members and can report, they are both reviewing, and they don’t
have a estimated time of completion. We will continue to keep this a top priority and I will report back
when the review has been completed.

The Study Guide has been given to NICTA and they are in the process of having it transferred to the NICTA
Dashboard.

I also want to take this time to thank Robert Force and Steven Wheeler as well as their ATPAs for the
generous donations to the Education, Training and Certification Program. This money will go towards
future standardized training materials and webinars for all IAATI members. This forward thinking allows
IAATI to grow, not only its membership, but its name as a leader in Vehicle Crime Training.

NICTA Access (Decision required)

IAATI has joined a partnership with National Insurance Crime Training Academy (NICTA) to host the IAATI
Certification Program. Access to the NICTA Dashboard by the membership is a paid subscription and
entitles the paying members access to the certification program as well as additional NICTA training.
