IAATI has paid for the first year of NICTA and the Certification Program is still being installed, but not
available. Since the COVID pandemic, most if not all training has been cancelled or postponed until the
earliest 2021, to include the IAATI Conferences. We collect IAATI membership dues yearly from the
membership and some of those due go towards the International, Branch and Chapter conferences, so in
2020, the memberships pay for a service they aren’t getting other than The APB and ACT. Additionally,
IAATI still has not chosen a webinar platform, so IAATI by itself, cannot host any webinar training for the
membership, although the NE Chapter is leading the way and partnered with Carfax to host at least 2
webinars. The Education, Training and Certification Committee is seeking a decision from the IAATI Board
if we want to give access to the membership with restrictions to have the Certification Program blocked
form being viewed until the fee for the program has been paid by the member. Alternatively, we only
provide access to the NICTA platform to those members who enrol in Certification Program.

The advantages to providing access to all IAATI members include:

                   • provides access to other NICTA training to our members thereby providing an additional
benefit of their IAATI membership, particularly at a time when seminars have been cancelled
                          due to COVID-19
                   • Hopefully providing access to all members may encourage us to create more online training
                          content for our members.

               Potential disadvantages include:

                   • Can we block access to the certification reference materials to General IAATI members, and
make it only available to members who have applied for or achieved certification?
                   • Does providing broader access to NICTA detract from the benefits of paying extra for the
certification program? i.e. should this be an extra benefit only to certification applicants?
                   • Does it showcase how much more professional and organized other Associations are (i.e.
IASIU) in terms of their online training programs?
