Membership
Based on current membership numbers as at 20th June, 2020
Conservatively assume that because of COVID and cancellation of most seminars that we suffer a 5% reduction in membership in all branches
and chapters except, the EB Branch. Assume the EB branch experience a 15% reduction because of the issues within that Branch.
Assume 85% renewals and 15% new members

Number of members paying reduced fees = 133
Number of members paying full fees = 1,921 - 133 = 1,788
Of these full paying members - assume 85% renewals ( i.e. 0.85 x 1,788 = 1,520) and 15% new members (i.e. 0.15 x 1,788 = 268)
APB Revenue
Assume worst case scenario of zero income from APB generated advertising in 2021
Certification Income
Assume 100 certification applications at $75 each
Administration Expenses
Telephone and ISP costs have been reduced by $1,000
New expenses for software licences for Zoom and Biteable have been added
Cision is a Media Contact Database that we were considering subscribing to to assist with the distribution of media releases. The cost is
approximately $8,000 per year but we were offered a reduced price of $3,000 on a three year deal of we could join with another organisation.
Unfortunately that offer has no expired, but the ATPA committee is currently considering if they will assist in funding this subscription. We have
left it in the budget for future years.
Executive Director's
Heating and Lighting allowance has been eliminated. Honorarium has been increase to offset additional tax incurred.
APB and VCT Editors
All honorariums and allowances have been eliminated. A travel allowance of up to $2,300 will be payable* to each Editor
Treasurer's Honorarium
Previously was eligbile to a $5,000 honorarium and a $5,000 heat & light allowance. The heat & light allowance has been eliminated.
Legal Advisors
We have allocated $4,500 for travel costs for our advisors (the amount to be split based on expected individual travel costs).
Travel Expenses*
It is unlikely that all international travel will resume in 2021. Therefore it is likely that part of these allocations will not be spent
The Treasurer and Executive Officer have been allowed a travel expense despite receiving an honorarium as they are required to be at the
AGM and Board Meetings.
The travel allowance for the Site Selection Committee was abolished in 2020. We can use local board/committee member or Branch/Chapter
Board member to inspect the venue.
It was consider important that the Sponsorship Director be at the seminar to build a long-term relationship with the sponsors and exhibitors.
As such a travel allowance was included, if their employer does not cover their expenses.
The travel expense for the Chair of the LATAM liaison Committee has been abolished.
Interpol - this is to attend the Annual Interpol Conference (if it is held in 2021).
Web Services
Seminar App - Whova - normally around $1,300 plus taxes, was purchased for our 2020 Chicago Seminar but we were able to suspend the
subscription due to COVID-19. So we can use it for our 2021 Denver seminar without any further costs. Left in the budget for future reference.
