Article 8: Dissolution of the Branch
Section 1:
In the event of the Branch being dissolved, the amount which remains after such dissolution and
the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities, shall be paid and applied by the Committee in
accordance with their powers to any fund, institution or authority which is a non-profit
organisation.

In the event of the dissolution of the Australasian Branch, whether voluntary or involuntary, no
member shall be entitled to any share in the distribution or division of its remaining property or
its assets, and the balance of all money and other property received by the Australasian Branch
from any source, after payment of all debts and obligations of the Australasian Branch, shall be
transferred to the International Association Auto Theft Investigators, Executive Office in the USA.
8. It was noted that the NERC, NCRC and SCRC constitutions were silent on what would happen in
the event of the dissolution of their chapters. It is recommended that a similar statement to
that recommended above for the Australasian Branch be considered for their constitutions.
9. The following two amendments proposed by the NERC Board be approved, subject to their
acceptance by their members at their next AGM.
NERC’s PROPOSED CBL AMENDMENT NO. 1
(To replace “auto theft” with “Vehicle Crime”)
ARTICLE II - OBJECT
Section 1. The objectives and purposes of the Northeast Regional Chapter shall be:
a. To unite for mutual benefit, those individuals who are eligible for membership as specified in
Article III:
b. To provide for exchange of technical information and developments;
c. To cooperate with all law enforcement agencies and associations who are engaged in the
prevention and suppression of vehicle crime automobile thefts and kindred crimes;
d. To encourage high professional standards of conduct among auto theft vehicle crime
investigators and to continually strive to eliminate all factors which interfere with
administration of crime suppression.
