Scenario III:
A 39-year-old woman visits your clinic because she has had episodes
of heavy menstrual bleeding that began 5 months ago. Her menses last
longer and there is more blood flow compared with previous years.
She had a tubal ligation 6 years ago, smokes half a pack of cigarettes
a day, and is being treated with amlodipine for hypertension. She has
mild renal insufficiency. Her BMI is 31.6. Her pelvic examination is
normal.
