Treatment
- Progestogen given in the second half of the cycle, as norethisterone.
10gm daily for 10 days of the cycle.
- Oral contraceptive tablets given from the 5th day of the cycle for 21
days (Hormonal).
- Thyroxin or thyroid extract if there is hypothyroidism.
- Treatment of anemia if present.
Menonorrhgia: It is excessive and or prolonged menstruation. Bleeding
more than 7 days.
Etiology
A) General causes
- Hypertension
- Congestive heart failure
- Blood diseases as leukemia and thrombocytopenia
-Early hypo and hyperthyroidism.
- Anti-coagulant therapy
- Liver disease
-Psychological disturbance
- Sever disturbances.
