Golfview Does Team Building Exercise
The faculty
at Golfview
Elementary
Magnet in
Rockledge
recently
participated
in a team
building scavenger hunt that took them
off campus to explore the surrounding community. Teams were given a list of
eight clues and tasks to accomplish within the boundaries. Clues included latitude and longitude coordinates, lock combinations, and riddles. Try one, “a cave man carries one,
a golfer uses one, and you might want to join
one.” The word clue is: _____________
Teams posted pictures and quotes to Padlet,
an online sharing component. “The
scavenger hunt promoted collaboration
and teamwork amongst grade level teams. This
activity was a wonderful way to start the school year
and first day
of pre-planning,” said Monica
Weber, assistant principal. “Teachers new and old to Golfview were able to build positive team rapport as they carpooled together solving clues and taking group selfies to upload to Padlet.”
“Not only was it was a huge success and fun
for all, but it allowed teachers to add another resource for technology to their teacher tool belt,” said Heather Allen, the school’s literacy coach.
