Heritage High Volunteer Huge Asset
Volunteers are key to the success of many schools. You know the ones who run the laminating machines at elementary schools,
read to or mentor students, help with athletics, or countless other chores. Heritage High volunteer Todd Eagle now has lots of awards and commendations to highlight what a wonderful addition he is to the Heritage High family. Eagle
was recently awarded the Heritage High youth volunteer of the year, the Brevard Public Schools district youth volunteer of the year, and the prestigious Florida Department of Education region III youth volunteer of the year. He is the BPS/Sprint Superhero for April 2017.
Eagle is a 2016 graduate of Heritage High. He has only been volunteering at the Palm Bay school for about a year, but volunteers up to 40 hours a week. He volunteers in the guidance department with students in transition, students in credit recovery, and students facing discipline challenges. He also assists with the guidance department’s office needs and helps out with the baseball team. “He is priceless to have around,” said Rob Querry, head baseball coach.
