Vegetable Soup

Ingredients:
Ham hocks or left-over ham bone
1-2 potatoes
whole kernel corn
1-2 onions
Okra
Peas
Beans
OR any vegetable of your choice
OR 1 package of frozen soup vegetables
salt and pepper to taste
Tomatoes or tomato sauce
Boil the ham hocks until very tender. Add onions,
potatoes and tomatoes. Cook for a while before you
add the rest of the vegetables. Cook on medium
heat until the vegetables are done. I also have
browned ground beef and onions then added
frozen soup vegetables and tomatoes. This is also
very good and quicker to fix. REMEMBER!!! This dish
is the very best served with fried hot water cornbread.
