Never Fail Dumplings #1
Submitted By Beth Dodson Beckham
Ingredients:
1½ cups flour
1 egg, beaten
⅓ tsp salt
5 Tbsp water
Mix all to make a soft dough. Divide in 3 parts. Roll
out very thin and let dry for 20 minutes. Cut into
strips. Drop into boiling chicken broth and cook for
about 20 minutes. Add chopped cooked chicken.
Chicken and Dumplings are always requested by my
grandkids and Ted's 3 girls when they visit. I've
been making these dumplings since I was just
learning to cook and have never had a failure.
