Oatmeal Cake

                                    Ingredients:

                                    1 cup oats
                                    2 eggs
                                    1½ cups hot water
                                    1⅓ cups flour
                                    1 cup brown sugar
                                    1 tsp soda
                                    1 cup white sugar
                                    1 tsp cinnamon
                                    1 stick margarine
                                    ½ tsp salt

                                    Preparation:
                                    Pour hot water over oats and let stand. Cream
                                    sugars and margarine. Beat eggs into mixture. Sift
                                    dry ingredients together and add to creamed
                                    mixture. Add oats. Beat well. Bake at 350°F for 35
                                    minutes.

                                    Boiled Icing:
                                    ¾ stick butter
                                    ¾ cup brown sugar
                                    1 Tbsp milk
                                    1 can coconut
                                    1 cup chopped nuts

                                    Mix butter and milk. Add brown sugar and boil 1
                                    minute. Add coconut and nuts. Pour over baked cake
                                    and brown lightly under broiler.
