Mock Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Bring to boil:
2 cups sugar
1¼ cups water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cream of tartar

Break 20 soda crackers (saltine) into ¼" pieces,
drop into boiling mixture and boil 8 minutes. Pour
into unbaked pie shell and bake until crust is brown.
