Cinnamon Applesauce Pancakes
Submitted By Pamela Ann Gatlin Schulz
This pancake recipe doesn’t use eggs or milk, so
it’s perfect for those with allergies, or if you’re out
of milk and eggs and want to make a quick
breakfast. The applesauce gives these pancakes a
moister texture. If you want to make waffles, use
the same ingredients, adding 3 Tbsp oil to the
batter. Makes 12 pancakes.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
2 cups water
2 Tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ cup cinnamon applesauce
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
1. Combine dry ingredients, then add remaining
ingredients and beat together.
2. Pour the batter onto a hot, lightly oiled griddle or
skillet.
3. Cook until pancakes have a bubbly surface and
slightly dry edges (2-3 minutes).
4. Turn pancakes. Cook for an additional 2-3
minutes (until golden brown).
