5.  As we continue to strengthen our partnership with Governor State University, work continues to
                  create a computer science endorsement path for our staff in alignment with ISBE’s standards.
                  The submission of the Computer Science for All grant through the National Science Foundation
                  will be submitted by the end of April.

               6.  Working with Ed. Services and the Association, we developed a Remote Learning Plan for the
                  month of April which provides support for the admin, teachers, and students. The plan defines
                  teacher and students’ expectations to continue the learning process during the extended closure.

           From the Coordinator for Career and Technical Education –


               1.  Early College Institute/STEM 2020-21 – Identified over 490 students and notified parents
                  whose son/daughter meets the initial candidate qualifier to participate in Early College/STEM

                  for 2020-21 school year; The planned parent meeting was scheduled for Wednesday; March 25
                  and will be re-scheduled at date and time to be determined.

               2.  CTE Student Certifications – Working closely with Dr. Bournes to identify additional
                  certification opportunities for students (i.e Digital Literacy, CSB – Communication Skills for
                  Business) as this increases opportunities for our students to embark on a career right after high
                  school.

               3.  CTE Staffing – Working closely with Dr. Bournes and Dr. Echols to identify staffing needs for
                  the 2020-21 school year as it relates to CTE.  Discussion includes sectioning, traveling, and
                  teacher credentials.

                      Unfortunately, the following events will be canceled due to the COVID-19:


               1.  UIC Pharmacy Summer Camp –Working closely with the University of Illinois – Chicago in
                  partnership for Summer Pharmacy Camp for rising seniors.  The camp will be held on campus
                  June 29th thru July 16th. Rich Township has been given 15 slots for this student opportunity.

               2.  Youth Hiring Event - In partnership with Congresswoman Robin Kelly, our 2nd Youth Job
                  Expo was scheduled to take place on Saturday; April 25th at the Rich South Campus 227 from
                  9:00am – 12:00pm.  Career readiness trainings will be made available to prepare our students
                  for the interview process on Wednesday; April 22nd. Students will also have the opportunity to
                  interview for summer employment opportunities from employers which can lead to permanent
                  employment.
