6. Planning is underway for the district’s first joint institute day, Winter Institute Day, January 4,
2021, with our feeder school districts: 159, 160, 162 and 163.
Professional Development
1. Educational Services is working on providing staff with needed professional development using
various online platforms for their upcoming remote learning planning Fridays.
Grants
1. Educational Services is working on applications for the following grants:
• School Violence Prevention Grant
• Computer Science for All
• Title III Intent to Apply
• Afterschool Programs Grant
Expulsions and Disciplinary Reassignments
There are no referrals for expulsion or suspension reviews.
The Director of Curriculum and Data
1. Working with Dr. Bournes and Loyola University, we are providing opportunities for our staff

to become adjunct professors. Applications for teachers are due April 3 .
2. The Instructional Framework Committee will continue to meet to develop our district
instructional plan to support the instructional needs of our students in alignment with Marzano’s
High Reliability Schools.
3. Working with Dr. Bournes and the Association, the Service Learning committee has created a
proposal and submitted it to DLT. The feedback from the DLT and further collaboration
allowed for the completion of the task in order to prepare for next school year.
4. Working with Dr. Bournes and Hansra Consulting, we submitted our International
Baccalaureate (IB) application and have received confirmation our district has been approved
for the Candidacy phase. This assures our course implementation for the 2020-21 school year.
