The Educational Services department is continuing to work on our master schedule.
Twenty students were selected for our February Students of the Month and were awarded and
recognized on Friday, March 6.
FRESHMEN:

Raven Stover, Adrianna Williams, Veronica Baggett, Jasmine Dunson, Natalia Carter
Karolyn Smith Ross was accepted to Northwestern and currently sits on the waiting list to be
accepted into Harvard and Princeton Universities.
Rich South - Varn
During the COVID -19 closure, Rich South High School is dedicated to continuing the
communicate effectively with our students and staff. The administrative teams holds daily briefings
to keep two-way lines of communicate open. Division leaders host weekly department
meetings. The fully faculty meets every Friday. The principal personally calls each member of the
staff once per week. Teachers and counselors are communicating with students daily. We are
using mail, email, social media, the website, the app, the marquee, and video messaging to keep
parents and students updated as the school remains closed.
On average 65% of students have logged into the e-learning platform.
At the conclusion of quarter, 90% of STAR Academy students have earned credit toward
graduation. This is truly an accomplishment for some of the students who have not experienced a
lot of success earning credit in the traditional school setting.
Rich South administration has decided to postpone the prom until Friday, July 24, 2020.
