• As Rich Township High School continues to implement a hybrid instructional model, the school
has had no cases of COVID-19 transmitted from student-to-student, student-to-staff, or staff-to-
student. Additionally, there have been no staff-to-staff transmissions since students have returned
to in-person learning. The precautions that have been put in place have been effective in
minimizing the spread of the virus.
• On April 13th, the SAT was administered to all 11th grade students. This test was administered in-
person. The SAT is a current graduation requirement for students.
• The RTHS Key Club will host its annual spring blood drive. In partnership with Vitalant, the drive
will take place on Thursday, 4/22 in the gymnastics gym at the FAC campus 8:00-3:00. This event
is open to all district staff and students. The last blood drive saved the lives of 68 people.
• Prom tickets for an in-person event are now on sale. Tickets can be purchased for $125
per person. The prom will adhere to all COVID guidelines and still provide a memorable
experience for attendees.
• Construction of the transition center is complete, and the site is finalizing its last inspections. The
center is scheduled to open this month.
• Demolition of the old stadium at the FAC campus is complete. The property has been cleared to
make way for the construction of the new facility that is slated to be finished in October 2021.

The Board of Education will take action on a last chance agreement for a preventive maintenance employee. The
employee previously received verbal and written reprimands as well as a five-day suspension without pay. The
District has invested in the employee by offering professional development, mentoring and support. The
individual continues to demonstrate a lack of competency in performing the essential functions of this position.
As of April 1, 2021 the District is not confident in the employee’s ability to perform the duties as documented in
the performance evaluation. The last chance agreement has the potential to turn into a recommendation for non-
renewal of the position if the performance and ability to perform the essential functions of the position do not
improve.
