Educational Services
The Director of Curriculum and Data
University/Community Partnerships
Working with Loyola University and SEPI, we are finalizing the list of teachers qualified to teach the
dual credit education courses in our education pathway. Once the list is finalized, teachers will develop
a syllabus and work collaboratively with Loyola to develop the curriculum.
The Math Department from Loyola has conducted informal observations of Honors Algebra, Pre-AP
Algebra I, Integrated Math, and Math: Academic Labs. We will debrief with Loyola’s team to
determine how to provide the curricular and intervention support needed to close the math
achievement gaps.
Working with Amazon and Seefried Properties, the Amazon facility is offering student experiences in
real estate management, robotics, architecture, engineering, material handling, and general contracting.
Students that are interested will be able to visit the site in May and experience the construction
projects and interact with the staff. Students interested in Robotics will be able to tour the facility this
fall when the facility is fully operational.
Curriculum
The district is working towards rebranding the curriculum handbook. We have identified key
components reflective of our current academy structure and will work throughout the semester to
develop a handbook that is informative and user-friendly for parents, students, and staff. The online
version will have interactive links for an enhanced experience.
The district is finalizing the summer curriculum categories for course teams. The work will focus on
standards referenced curriculum mapping, project-based learning, and building out new board-
approved programs, such as Agricultural Science.
