Rich Central - Haney

Board of Education Report – March 2020

A group of Rich Central students recognized a peer in need. These students gathered together
pairs of shoes and donated those to the other student - an excellent example of a true Olympian
               Spirit.

Both Freshmen and Sophomores have had the leading attendance percentage three times this
school year. The tiebreaker for February puts Freshmen in the lead! The class of 2023 narrowly
came out on top for February with 87.7% compared to Sophomores at 87.4%. A difference of just
               .3%.

As reported by Dr. Lee, Mira Riley, and Jordan Smith both received 100% on their recent
Medical Terminology tests. Dr. Lee explained that learning medical terminology is equivalent to
learning a foreign language. It is quite an accomplishment to earn a perfect score on this test.
On February 14, Rich Central students enjoyed a Valentine’s Celebration. Titled “Love is in the
Air” students received candy bags, danced to music, and expressed their creative side at the make
               your own valentine station.

The Annual Black History Month Assembly was February 28. A huge thank you to all staff and
students who worked hard to make this possible. Poetry, spoken word, and dances were
performed for the audience special recognition to Ms. Bridget Stewart, who takes charge of this
               each year.

                                                                        nd

New this semester are the Teacher Choice Awards. Students are nominated by a teacher and then
given that award by the nominating teacher during class.
