Rich Central – Haney
We are happy to have our summer staff back in the building starting Monday, June 29!
This includes administrators, 12-month clerical, and maintenance staff. As staff returns
to work, we are getting ready to welcome the new members of our staff.
Although we were unable to hold our annual awards night this year, we certainly still
wanted to honor those deserving students. Recently awards were sent home for the
following:
1. President’s Education Awards: Students who achieved Gold Honor Roll status for
the first 3 quarters of the school year received a certificate, a lapel pin, and a Rich
Central medal.
2. Academic A Awards: Seniors who achieved a 4.0 or above for seven semesters
received a certificate and an academic medal.
3. Illinois State Scholars: The State of Illinois provided us with certificates for these
students.
4. Students receiving the President’s Education Awards, the Academic A Award,
and/or were recognized as an Illinois State Scholar were also given a Rich Central
Academic Honors letter.
5. Department Awards: Teachers provided names for students to be recognized for
Outstanding Performance in their classes. Students were given a certificate and a
Rich Central Achievement medal.
6. Activities: Students were recognized by the sponsors of the Business Professional
of America, Key Club, Mathletes, Snowball, and Scholastic Bowl.
7. Team Scholars: These awards are given to students with the highest GPA
(minimum of 3.5) for each of our athletics teams. Students are recognized for
each level of the sport.
Construction is in full swing at our campus. We look forward to seeing these projects as
they are in progress and can’t wait for the finished results.
A mailing was sent home in June to inform parents with information on the campus
assignment for their students for the 2020-21 school year.
As a staff, we remain committed to the health and safety of not just ourselves, but all
who are around us. PPE equipment is being utilized when the 6-foot social distancing
recommendation cannot be followed.
