to delay locker painting there until winter break. The goal is to have all the lockers painted the same
color over the next couple of years to create one homogenous look.

               - The band room and little theater at the STEM campus will have wall repairs and new paint
starting Saturday 8/8/2020 and will be completed before teacher orientation week.

               - Construction projects are all in their final stages of completion. All necessary work will be
complete in order to have students and staff safely in the buildings as scheduled. Some outstanding
items to be completed are the bleacher installation at the FAC Campus, some wall graphic logo
installation at both campuses, and other minor punch list items.

               Updates

               - The schools had their 6-month asbestos inspections on 8/4/2020 as required. Updated
reports will be issued and kept at the campuses.

               - The District had all Special Education vehicles brought in for comprehensive inspection.
The final vehicle was completed this week and they are ready for the school year.

               - The District mini-buses are due for their biannual inspections and that process is currently
underway. Four of the six buses are complete and the final 2 are scheduled.

               - The custodial and maintenance teams are working long hours to complete the cleaning and
prepping of the buildings as the construction crews move out. I commend all the hard work and
dedication to getting the job done by the campus Buildings and Grounds staff members. They are
truly amazing at what they can accomplish in such a short window.

               - Now that construction is wrapping up we will begin putting out the hand sanitizer stations in
the hallways at the campuses near the security posts in the hallways. There will be 12 stations at
each campus throughout the hallways, near main entry ways, and large gathering areas. Every
classroom will also be getting their own individual hand sanitizer pump.

               - The District purchased 6 new sanitizing mister machines in March and they were finally
delivered at the end of June. We now have a total of 9 misters throughout the district. Four will
remain at each campus and one at District Office but in case of need they are easily transportable
and we can get all of them to a campus quickly if necessary.

               Business Office

The final budget will be submitted to the Board for approval at the September Board meeting. At that
time, the budget would have been displayed for a thirty (30) day period, as required. The budget must
be approved by the Board by September 30, 2020. However, our budget would have been approved one
month earlier than usual, but there was not 30 days between the July and August Board meetings. Prior
to the approval, there must be a budget hearing.
