                                     Curriculum, Instruction, and Data

The department of Curriculum and Instruction oversees several aspects of the learning
environment. These areas include the coordination and maintenance of Board approved,
district-wide programs/courses such as ThinkCERCA, Pre-AP, and Advanced Placement (AP). In
alignment with the programs, the department supports the professional development for
teachers. This support ensures the instructors have the necessary training and resources to
impact the achievement of the students. As programs/courses throughout the district are
modified and implemented, it is the responsibility of the department to ensure the program is
compliant with Illinois School Code, Rich Township High School District 227 graduation
requirements, and the NCAA Clearing House.

The department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Data is charged with measuring student
achievement and program evaluation through assessments. Student achievement is measured
using a fall and spring assessment through the College Board. The growth data from the
assessment is quantified and reported to the campuses for dissemination to the staff and
parents. The data is used to evaluate the impact of achievement for our programs. Data is
analyzed and evaluated to ensure the program's impact is significant for student growth and
               achievement.

To sum up, the department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Data falls under the Educational
Services Umbrella and extends its support to the Student Support Services, Career and
Technical Education, Transportation, Climate and Culture, and Professional Development and
Grants departments. Together, a shared vision of focusing on students and student success is
               the highest priority.
