This year, the district can provide baseline data on the number of students who experienced
Pre-AP as freshmen and have enrolled in AP courses as juniors. During the 2018-2019 school
year there were 558 Pre-AP students across the district. The number of students enrolled in AP
courses this year are 480. Of the 480, there are 71 students from the Pre-AP courses. These
students make up 15% of AP students. Students now have the opportunity to experience Pre-
AP as freshmen and sophomores. Exposing students to the skills needed in AP courses early in
their academic careers gives them valuable experience that can be used in AP classes as they
matriculate through high school.

During the school year 2018-2019 there were 66 freshmen enrolled in Advanced Placement
Human Geography. During the 2020-2021 school year, 41 students or 62% of the students were
enrolled Advanced Placement courses.
